Our StayClean™ solution is a water-repelling coating designed to keep the smooth StayClean surfaces cleaner longer. Use throughout your home on windows, sliding glass doors, showers, tubs, sinks, smooth-top cooking surfaces and more to remove tough stains such as grease, oil, lime, and grime – without the use of harsh or abrasive chemicals! Better yet, it is super easy to apply. Simply spray on and wipe with a clean towel or cloth.

Performance Testing

Glass panels were coated with StayClean Standard, Competitor 1, and Competitor 2 were tested according to “ISO 11998:2006: Paints and varnishes – Determination of wet-scrub resistance and cleanability of coatings.” StayClean Standard exhibited the highest contact angle initially, as well as after the abrasion resistance testing was performed.

The determination of the contact angle was determined according to “DIN 55660-2: Paints and
varnishes – Wettability – Part 2: Determination of the free surface energy of solid surfaces by measuring the contact angle” using distilled water as test liquid.

Contact Angle Degradation Over Time Due ISO 11507:2007 Conditions
Our StayClean Standard coating proved to be the most UV and weather-resistant coating compared to three competitive products tested according to ISO 11507:2007 exhibiting a decrease in contact angle of 34.7° as compared to Competitors 1, 2, and 3, which showed a decrease of 70.2°, 75.9°, and 73.4° respectively.

 

 

Application & Storage

  • Surface preparation: Ensure a clean, dry surface before application.
  • Application: Spray and wipe with a clean paper towel, or cloth.
  • Dry/cure time: This coating completely adheres to the surface after 24 hours. The coating will only exhibit hydrophobic property after this curing period.
  • 32 oz = Coverage: 2,045 FT² [190 M²]
  • Storage: 2-year unopened shelf life. (3°C to 30°C).

 

Surface Prep

Glass Cleaner (Optional) is a water-based cleaner for glass that utilizes aluminum oxide to create a clean surface to promote adhesion. The hydrophilic property that is present after cleaning indicates the glass is free of oils and other contaminants, ready for a nanocoating to be applied to the surface. This glass cleaner not only degreases but also slightly abrades the surface, allowing for any light surface stains or watermarks to be removed. Recommended using for surface preparation before application of StayClean, MicroClean, or the Perma-Clean Line of products. It can also be used alone as a glass cleaner.
